Władysław Brzosko

PORTRAITS

Władysław Brzosko painted portraits throughout his career. His subject soften included his wife Judy, friends, and such personalities as Janusz Korczak, Pope John Paul II, Maria Sklodowska-Curie, Copernicus, and others. Brzosko also completed several striking self-portraits in which he explored himself as an artist. In addition he executed several large format nudes in charcoal and oil. In 1984 he was awarded the gold medal for the Artist in Studio at the Salon de Nations exhibition in Paris.
